Where Can A Bride Find/Buy A Chinese Dress (Qi-Pao) For Her Wedding?

I bought my QiPao in Rowland Heights, Ca. I found the place through my mom. The owner is her friend. I actually bought 2. The first was a red, long and traditional with cherry blossoms. The second one was a knee length, purple with dragonflies. I was going to change into the purple QiPao toward the end of my wedding but in the end I decided not to.

I didn't get the dress right away because it is custom made. First, you choose the style of QiPao you want. There are different lengths, buttons, and designs. Second, you look through a few books of fabric swatches to choose the fabric you want. Last, they get your measurements. I believe it is made somewhere in Hong Kong or China. Once it arrives you try it on and if it doesn't fit quite right they'll alter it.

If you decide to get your QiPao here then I definitely would recommend you order it early. If you lose weight after the dress arrives like i did, they'll take it in for you. It's just safer to not have to worry if your dress will arrive on time and if it will fit.

I paid $300 for both dresses. My sister who got married before me got her QiPao there too (i think she got a better deal than i did). I highly recommend this place.
